River To River Overview
Experience one of America’s greatest environmental success stories on this 23-mile journey from Port Angeles waterfront to the stunning Elwha River. In 2011-2014, two massive dams were removed in the largest dam removal project in U.S. history. Today, salmon return by the thousands to spawn in waters they couldn’t reach for over 100 years.
This intermediate ride combines coastal beauty, lush forest trails, and the inspiring Elwha restoration story. Enjoy a picnic at the scenic Elwha River Bridge while learning about this incredible ecological recovery through interpretive signs and viewing platforms.
The e-bike’s pedal-assist makes the 23-mile distance very manageable for most riders, with time built in for exploration and your riverside picnic.
